Er verschijnt een oude bekende op het Eurovisie Songfestival podium. Moldavië stuurt iemand die het Eurovisie Songfestival water al een keer geproefd heeft. Pasha Parfeni treedt in de eerste halve finale als tiende op met zijn nummer ‘Soarele şi Luna’.

Pasha Parfeni heeft het Eurovisie bloed door zijn aderen stromen. De 36-jarige zanger en songwriter groeit in zijn jeugd op in een muzikale omgeving, met een moeder die muziekdocent was en een vader die zanger is.
In 2012 doet hij voor het eerst mee aan het Eurovisie Songfestival, waar hij de 11e plek in de competitie bereikt. Het jaar daarna componeert hij samen met zijn vrouw Yuliana een nummer dat door zangeres Aliona wordt gezongen op het Eurovisie Songfestival in 2013. Hij heeft dus menig wat ervaring op het Eurovisie Songfestival.

De betekenis achter
Pasha doet dit jaar mee aan het Eurovisie Songfestival met zijn nummer ‘Soarele şi Luna’, een nummer die de diepe liefde tussen de verteller en zijn toekomstige bruid omschrijft.
Het nummer beschrijft een liefde die net zo magisch is als de volksverhalen waarnaar het verwijst. Het hele nummer is opgebouwd rond metaforen, volk symbolen en natuurlijke elementen. Samen geven ze de liefde een geheel nieuwe dimensie.
