🇬🇧 There are no limits if you want to make your dreams come true. That is the message of the song Europapa. It’s a tribute to his father and can be described as a mix of nostalgia, melancholy and joy, with the poetic lyrics and catchy beats that Joost is known for across Europe.
Joost: 'Europapa' is a tribute to my father. He raised me to have a broad vision of the world.
The colorful music video is directed by Véras Fawaz and it represents Joosts cinematic universe. If you pay close attention you will see several familiar faces, including S10 (ESC2022), René Froger (ESC 2009) and Emma Wortelboer (Spokesperson 2019).
Joost wrote the lyrics together with rapper Donnie and Tim Haars (as Gerrie from New Kids). Europapa's producer is Teun de Kruif (Tantu Beats), with a special contribution from hardcore DJ Paul Elstak.
On Thursday, May 9, Joost will represent the Netherlands in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The song can now be listened to on all major streaming platforms.
